Three centuries ago, in the quaint village of Mofardini, nestled amidst rolling hills and timeless landscapes, lived a man named Mateo Mofardin. Inspired by the fertile lands and the gentle Mediterranean climate, Mateo dreamed of cultivating an olive grove that would stand the test of time.

In the year 1724, with determination and a heart full of hope, Mateo left his village and journeyed to Srgaši Koper. The journey was long and arduous, but Mateo was driven by a vision. Upon arriving, he meticulously selected a patch of land bathed in sunlight and rich in the soil’s nutrients. There, he planted his first olive trees, nurturing each sapling with dedication and care.

Years passed, and Mateo's olive trees grew into a flourishing grove, their branches heavy with the fruits of his labor. His olive oil became renowned, celebrated for its exquisite quality and flavor. Mateo's legacy was born, and with each generation, the Mofardin family continued to cultivate the land, preserving the traditions he had set in motion.

Fast forward to the present day, and we meet Aleš Mofardin, the great-great-great-grandson of Mateo. Aleš inherited not only the family estate but also the passion for olive oil production. However, Aleš brought his own vision to the legacy, intertwining tradition with modernity. He embraced sustainable farming practices, introduced innovative production techniques, and expanded the family business to offer charming apartments for visitors to experience the beauty of the Mofardin estate firsthand.
